Brookshire Event Committee Goals and Objectives

The Brookshire Event Committee is responsible for the planning and execution of a wide

range of community gatherings. Other groups, teams and/or committees may plan and

execute events and activities independent of the Event Committee. The Event Committee

attempts to ensure a regular and ample schedule of events that are of interest to

community residents. These occasions include community meals, craft classes, holiday and

speaker events, day trips and much more. Suggestions are always welcome and can be

submitted to any committee member or by using the suggestion box in the Community

Newsroom.

Event Committee Chairperson Responsibilites: Before meetings the chair should plan

the agenda and verify that all necessary information is available. The chair conducts the

committee meetings and guides the committee through the agenda items. The chair

disseminates information to the committee members, such as budgets, HOA decisions, etc.

The chair functions as liaison between the Event committee and the HOA and other

committees. The chair ensures that committee members have the resources necessary to

meet the committee’s goals. The chair is responsible for making sure agreed tasks are

carried out, and making decisions between meetings if necessary.
